Direct Cremation
This is often known as an unattended cremation. This service option is for those who prefer not to attend a funeral but maybe organise a memorial service at a later date.
This funeral option includes:
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death and bringing into our care
- Completing the paperwork with the deceased’s family or next of kin.
- Supplying a simple cremation coffin
- Transferring the deceased to the local crematorium for a non-attending cremation time
- Caring for and preparing the deceased prior to cremation
- Collecting the ashes and transporting them to our office for your collection
- Taking care of the ashes for a maximum of 12 weeks following the cremation

Additional fees to this service
- Removal of pacemaker £85
- Bringing the deceased into our care outside of office hours £85
- Lock of hair or fingerprints £15 per set
- Extra mileage (exceeding 10 mile radius) £1.95 per mile
Please note when choosing a direct cremation, the following are not permitted:
- Dressing the deceased in their own clothing
- Viewing of the deceased
Simple Service
Includes:
- Bringing the deceased into our care during office hours from the place of death (within 10-mile radius) (an additional out of hours fee of £85 will apply if required)
- Professional guidance and continuous care for you as a family
- Preparation and continuous care of the deceased
- A simple coffin suitable for cremation and writing messages on if required
- Dressing the deceased in their own clothes or a suitable gown
- A hearse from Brennan’s to the crematorium only
- Service at the crematorium and the crematorium costs
- A minister or celebrant to take the service
- No hidden costs – an all-in package to suit your needs.
Not Included :
- Viewing of the deceased
- A limousine
- The organisation of any third party items such as flowers, catering, order of service or any printing. (You are welcome to organise your own items should you wish)

Most of our customers visualise a traditional cremation funeral as including:
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death and bringing into our care (within 10 mile radius)
- Professional fees
- Preparation and continuous care of the deceased
- Visiting during office hours in our chapel of rest
- An oak veneered coffin
- A hearse and possibly a following limousine (extra cost), cortège via local address
- Service in the crematorium chapel with a minister or celebrant

Traditional Funeral Service (Burial)
Most of our customers visualise a traditional burial funeral as including:
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death and bringing into our care
- Professional fees
- Preparation and continuous care of the deceased
- Visiting during office hours in our chapel of rest
- An oak veneered coffin
- A hearse and possibly a following limousine, cortège via local address
- Provision of bearers
- Service at the graveside with a minister or celebrant

We regularly provide the following services:
Administration of donations
Includes collecting, recording, receipting to the family,
and forwarding the donation cheque to the chosen charity. £40
Order of service
Includes liaising with the local printers, family members and the
officiant, collecting the order of service from the printers.
Orders of service will be charged from £1.85 per copy. £40

Standardised Price List
Attended Funeral
This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, service or event for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation.
Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements £1200
Collecting and transportation of the deceased person from the place of death into our care - £225
Taking care of the deceased person before the funeral takes place in appropriate facilities - £150
Viewing of the deceased person for family or friends, by appointment with the funeral director, during working hours – £30
At a date and time of which you agree with the funeral director, taking the deceased person in a hearse to the cremation or burial - £450
Providing a suitable Oak Veneer coffin - £500
Unattended Funeral
This is a funeral where family and friends may choose to have a ceremony or memorial at a later date for the deceased person, but they do not attend the burial or cremation itself.
Burial (funeral directors fee only) - £1125.00
Cremation (funeral directors charge plus the cremation fee) - £1475.00
