A direct cremation, also known as an unattended funeral is a straightforward option which involves taking your loved one to the crematorium for a cremation without a funeral service or ceremony. 

There are many reasons why this option has become increasingly popular in the past few years, it maybe your loved ones wishes, it maybe the most affordable option for the family, or it maybe that a memorial service is to be planned for the future. The ashes can either be returned to you and the family or they can be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the Crematorium.

Here's a brief summary of how it works: 

We arrange to collect your loved one from their place of death, we provide a simple coffin suitable for cremation, your loved one rests with us in Hebden Bridge. Once the death has been formally registered and the paperwork is completed we arrange with the local crematorium for us to take your loved one to them for a cremation. We collect the ashes in the days following the cremation and return them to you if that's your wishes. 

There is no traditional service but this doesn't mean you don't receive the best level of care, dignity and personalised service from us. We personally oversee all the paperwork, we personally collect your loved one and we personally transport them to the crematorium.
