Direct Cremation
This is often known as an unattended cremation. This service option is for those who prefer not to attend a funeral but maybe organise a memorial service at a later date. The direct cremation can have a service in our chapel before the cremation, we can also take locks of hair and fingerprints of your loved one if you wished us to do so.
This funeral option includes:
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death and bringing into our care (within a 10 mile radius)
- Completing the necessary paperwork with the deceased’s family or next of kin.
- Supplying a simple cremation coffin
- Caring for and preparing the deceased prior to cremation
- Transferring the deceased to the local crematorium for a non-attending cremation time
- Collecting the ashes and transporting them to our office for your collection
- Taking care of the ashes for a maximum of 12 weeks following the cremation

Please note when choosing a direct cremation viewing and dressing the deceased are not permitted.
Traditional Funeral Service (Cremation)
Most of our customers visualise a traditional cremation funeral as including:
- Collection of the deceased from the place of death and bringing into our care
- Professional fees
- Preparation and continuous care of the deceased
- Visiting during office hours in our chapel of rest
- An oak veneered coffin
- A hearse to leave from a local address
- Provision of bearers
- Service in the crematorium chapel with a minister or celebrant

Additional Price List
We regularly provide the following services:
Administration of donations
Includes collecting, recording and receipting to the family,
and forwarding the donation cheque to the chosen charity - £40
Order of service
Includes liaising with the local printers, family members and the
officiant, collecting the order of service from the printers.
Orders of service will be charged at cost, these range from £1.85 per copy - £40
Dressing the deceased in their own clothes - £120
Taking fingerprints or a lock of hair -£10 per set
Collection of deceased outside of office hours - £85 extra
Removal of a pacemaker - £85
Use of our Acorn chapel for service/memorial/gathering - £180
Reception into church or delivery home - £250
Horse drawn carriages - Price on request

Attended Funeral
This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, service or event for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation.
Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements -£1200
Collecting and transportation of the deceased person from the place of death into our care - £225
Taking care of the deceased person before the funeral takes place in appropriate facilities - £150
Viewing of the deceased person for family or friends, by appointment with the funeral director, during working hours – £30
At a date and time of which you agree with the funeral director, taking the deceased person in a hearse to the cremation or burial - £450
Providing a suitable Oak Veneer coffin - £500
Unattended Funeral
This is a funeral where family and friends may choose to have a ceremony or memorial at a later date for the deceased person, but they do not attend the burial or cremation itself.
Burial (funeral directors fee only) - £1125.00
Cremation (funeral directors charge plus the cremation fee) - £1475.00

For an attended or unattended Burial, the fees are: £525-£1365
For an unattended cremation, the fee's are: £1475
For an attended cremation (30 minutes service time), the cremation fees are:
